Todd Engelsen has served as the President of PEER Servants for over 30 years. Through 2004, Todd acted in a part-time volunteer capacity while working at John Hancock as a Vice President and Actuary. He transitioned to focus on PEER Servants full-time in 2004. He is married to Leslie (Pelt) Engelsen and the two work closely in overseeing the 250+ very dedicated volunteers who make up PEER Servants’ global family. When not at home in the Boston area or visiting one of PEER’s Global Partners, they can often be found visiting their daughter and grandchildren in Alberta, Canada. Todd is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Math and German. Leslie and he worship at Grace Chapel in Lexington, Massachusetts.

Leslie Engelsen is a Chicago native and a Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College alumna. She moved to Nigeria after her studies and served as a missionary with a primary focus on helping girls who had been trafficked into prostitution to find freedom and life in Christ. It was in Nigeria that she met Todd Engelsen who was a frequent visitor, coming from Boston to consult on microfinance. Through Todd’s visits Leslie and the urban ministry team she worked with, discovered how strategic microfinance can be in empowering people to overcome devastating situations that so easily consume people who lack resources. After spending 17 wonderful years in ministry in Nigeria, Leslie married Todd and relocated to Boston. For the past 24 years she has deeply enjoyed serving alongside the PEER Servants global family of volunteers and partners who are devoted to helping people all around the world to experience God’s kingdom right here on earth. Todd and Leslie have one daughter who is originally from South Sudan, and three grandsons who live in Alberta, Canada

Todd 與 Leslie 育有一位女兒，她的家鄉位於南蘇丹。此外，他們還有三位孫子，目前居住在加拿大亞伯達省（Alberta）。

Hanna has a passion for extending God’s Kingdom on earth. The daughter of a Kenyan father and a Finnish missionary  mother, Hanna grew up in the mission field in rural Kenya where her parents were in full-time ministry for decades. Hanna’s professional career spans over 20 years in the American corporate world, with most of it spent in the disruptive technology sector; in specific robotics, warehouse automation, autonomous vehicles, drones and ships. She currently works for a start-up company developing autonomous ships. In regards to Kingdom work, Hanna is active in her local Church (All People Church, North Reading) and also serves on the board of PEER Servants, a Christ centered organization focused on empowering the materially poor by helping them start or grow small businesses, educate children, engage young people in kingdom ministry, extend affordable healthcare, and address food/water security. Hanna resides in Boston with her husband Dr. Stephen Machatha. They are blessed with three children.
